Hello,

I am having difficulty inserting the $ symbol in a formula in Excel. For example, if the formula I want to enter is: G1+$B$3*((E1/F1)-G1). My question is how to insert the $ symbol in the formula? When I manually enter the formula, the cell does not give me the answer. Thank you.

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 9.0

Hello

I think you want the dollars to have an absolute address
Click on the cell and in the formula bar select the address to lock and press the F4 function key
Once locked, the address in both row and column
2 locks in row
3 locks in column
4 unlocks everything
