JVC L-A110 Vinyl Turntable Roller Plate

Hello,
good evening, I have a JVC L-A110 turntable. When I reconnected it, I noticed that it was spinning very slowly, even though the motor shaft through which the belt passes seems to be turning at its normal speed. The transmission or drive seems to be hindered. Could the belt have moved? It seems to be stuck. How do I lift the platter? Should the platter turn freely? Could the fact that the turntable was left vertical for two weeks have displaced something?

    So, we should check, by removing the carpet, if the belt looks well tensioned,
    and if the belt is not slipping on the motor shaft,

    by removing the belt from the motor shaft, it should remain caught in the skirt of the plate...
    at that point, try to turn the plate by hand; it should turn very freely

    and finally, the plate is mostly held on the shaft by a cone; you need to pull it sharply upward to remove it.

    I don't think it's ever good for a turntable to be placed vertically. Normally, for your type of turntable, you remove the felt from the platter; then you'll see there are "holes" in the platter, which are there to help you properly secure your belt when you go to change it. By lifting the platter, you can see if the mechanism has moved.
