Hello,
<config>Windows XP /
Previously, when I entered my username to access Free's webmail,
my PC would automatically fill in the password for me,
and I would only have to hit validate;
Whereas now, I have to type it in every time;
Could you please tell me how to restore this function?
Thank you.

Good evening,
Go to "Internet Options" -> "Content" tab -> "AutoComplete"
and check that the correct boxes are checked.

Isn't there a checkbox that deletes temporary files when closing the browser? What happens if you just close the tab and then reopen it?
See "internet options" then further down "browsing history"

No, there isn't a checkbox that deletes temporary files when closing the browser,
but I apologize, I didn't understand:

What I mean is that you should try to open the site where you want to connect, log in, then close only the tab (ctrl+w) without closing the whole window (the browser). Then, reopen a tab (ctrl+t) and try to connect to your site again to see if it offers your password or not...
Most browsers offer tabbed browsing; for an explanation, see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tab_(computing)
P.S.: Otherwise, there's a great software called Sticky Password, available in French, take a look ;-)
Have a nice day
