Hello,
I have a Navteq RT3 GPS in my 2006 407, the problem is that when I turn on the GPS
it displays "insert the navigation CD-ROM" while the CD is inside. I have done the update, I bought a copy and it’s still the same. Peugeot tells me to completely change the RT3; are they right or is it a scam? What should I do?
Configuration: Windows XP / Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello, I just came out of Peugeot RT3, I have the same problem as yours, a dead read head, and since I have the 5-year warranty, Peugeot is covering it for me. There’s no solution except to know someone in electronics to open it. There you go.
Good evening
You must have a version problem
I think your version is not good because to use recent CDs you need version 6.6d or higher.

Good evening GUS, sorry for the late reply, my computer was down.
My Navteq GPS shows version 6.60, the problem is that I start the navigation CD
and it says "please insert the navigation CD or it says the navigation CD is not in the drive," it's the same original CD. Do you think it's the RT3 that can no longer read it or is it the CD that is worn out? THANK YOU FOR YOUR REPLY.
