Hello,
I am searching the Internet to update the road map of my Mio C620 Europe GPS because the other day I was driving on a new highway and my GPS couldn't recognize it; it thought I was driving in the grass, so it kept asking me to turn around and recalculating the route every minute.
If anyone knows how to do this or can send me the link for updating the Mio C620 Europe GPS (even just the map of France would be sufficient).
Thank you all.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Go to the official site, download the updater for C620, connect your Mio with USB.

Hello Ubuntu,

Have you managed to update your GPS? If so, how?

Thank you for your response!

Hello,
I was just given a Mio C620 GPS, and I've been told that I can't update it. Do you have a solution?

mio, it's a scam; they don't provide updates for more than two years
the device becomes unusable afterwards

I have a C620 but I don't use the MIOMAP 2008 that comes with it. Thanks to the advice from the website http://www.mioskins.org, I have additionally installed the IGO8 / Primo software on my C620. The maps are quite recent and I updated the speed cameras with an update from July 1, 2011.

Good evening,
I also have a Mio C620 and I just received confirmation by phone from Mio that there have been no updates since 2008... to sum it up, I can throw it in the trash!!!! It really feels like a scam. They are offering me a Mio Spirit 480 (Western Europe) as a "compensation" worth €30 less than retail, for a total of €69.76 including tax. But after this trickery—and that's putting it mildly—I prefer to spend more and switch brands. Thank you Mio for your sense of business.

Hello
C620 has frozen, I don't know why, it no longer provides any information, yellow screen.
It was not fully satisfactory, the satellite search at startup was very long (it took 3 to 4 km), frequent disconnections. No updates.
What would be a good compromise among GPS devices?
Hi everyone

I just came back from the official site where I found the option for the update.
https://www.mio.com/en_eu/shop/

DVD C-series Upgrade CE5.0 Western Europe 79.95€
DVD Upgrade France 49.95€

It's not cheap, but the radar update is free.

I return to the subject --
because the updates for the links are not for C620 --
I don't see anything for the free radars, I try all the methods and even with the DVD provided at purchase, it only contains links without any radar files --
if someone has solved the problem, I am very interested
thank you in advance

No updates are planned for the Mio C620 according to the manufacturer's website. The maps are becoming outdated and no longer up to date at all. I had a lot of problems this summer due to new roads or roads that had changed direction... An update is now essential or this GPS will end up in the trash along with the MIO brand...

Apparently, the type of mapping on the C620 is no longer supported by MIO:

1 Miomap2008 (original version...found on Mioc620 powered by NavnGo (Igo8 clone) probably now discontinued

2 Miomap2008 (latest version..found on Miomoov) by Navman.

3 Igo8 powered by Navngo.

1 and 3 are essentially the same program, just different interfaces. Number 2 is a totally different program.

The Mio company used to use NavnGo software for their satnavs. Then they joined forces with Navman in January 2008 and now use Navman software.

https://www.mio.com/en_eu/shop/ : probably the worst website I have ever seen.

The C620: never buy such a piece of junk again... sold with free map updates for 1 year... still trying!

Hello, I'm replying to this rather old post. Please note that I also own a Mio C620 and that no map updates are available for this device according to the official Mio website, to which I just sent a rather angry email.

Hello,

thank you for the response, but I returned the GPS and got a refund 3 days later. I had a bad feeling about that GPS.
Apparently, I did the right thing...
I’m going to buy a TomTom, at least there are no issues with updates!

I have the same problem and despite three repairs, I can't get the updates done, so I've decided to buy a TomTom 740 - a wonder for updates, a real gem. It's fast and problem-free; a beginner can't mess it up. For me, Mio is over; I'm going to give it away or sell it if it's sellable??????? See you soon, best regards (GPS brand to discourage all your friends from using it).

I have the same issue with my GPS C-620 (I also just created a post on the forum regarding updates).

I have updated with the software you mentioned (updater) but it still doesn't change anything!

Is there another way to update this GPS?

Thank you in advance...

Good luck with your GPS update. After '4 EXPENSIVE PURCHASES MIO 510/710 520 T AND 620T, I STOPPED. I BOUGHT A TOM TOM, NOT COMPLICATED AND IT WORKS VERY WELL AND BETTER, NO PROBLEMS, AND FOR THE UPDATES, PURE HAPPINESS.

This GPS is really garbage, I advise you not to buy it anymore.

Be especially careful when downloading your new maps because I paid €49.95 for the Western Europe map and after downloading it onto my old Tom Tom GO 700, I still have the old version? After sending an email to Tom Tom International in Amsterdam for an explanation, I received no response, and in addition, I made several calls to 08844 000 91 which keep you on hold at an outrageous rate with the slogan "all our lines are busy, please wait..." I find Tom Tom's after-sales service scandalous. Sell and then flood!

For my part, I've finally given up on the "search for the grail" because spending time looking for something that doesn't exist is enough for 5 minutes.
So, I went ahead and bought myself a new mobile phone and installed the MAP app on it, it works really well and the updates happen automatically. I just need to buy a car mount, and that's the end of the crappy MIO, and plus, I got another little app for bike rides on trails.

Have a nice day.
