Hi everyone!
I've been having a problem for a few days now, but it's really a nightmare.
My Dell screen, LCD I think, but nothing allows me to say this categorically, turns off a few seconds after starting I would say 4 to 5 seconds.
I used to just turn off and on the screen 2/3 times and then restart the computer, but nothing works.
It can't be the drivers or the graphics card since I'm on the same PC just with a borrowed screen from my brother...
My research found this: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-7949432-ecran-acer-s-eteint-au-bout-1-2-seconde
" Hi,
all LCD panels need backlighting to function, the crystals become more or less opaque to let this light through, that's what gives the display pixels, apparently the neon in your screen doesn't work anymore, it behaves like any other fluorescent tube, it flickers and doesn't light up, it's a part that can easily be replaced at a workshop, ask for a repair estimate, for a 24" it's worth fixing, but be careful a good new 22" on sale doesn't exceed €300, so consider it depending on the cost of the estimate, and especially explain to them well what I just told you, so they don't take you for a fool and charge you €400 to replace a tube that costs €20."
So, I think I have the solution but I would like confirmation!
Thank you in advance!
