Hello everyone,
I have a MacBook Pro (MBP) with Tiger 10.4 as the operating system.
I can no longer start it without connecting it to an external display.
Indeed, since I unplugged my external display (DVI connector) while my MBP was on, it no longer recognizes the display of my Mac at all; if I don’t connect an external screen, the system freezes during boot.
When I start it with any external screens, the system boots fine, but it only detects the external screen as the main display.
The screen of my laptop is no longer recognized anywhere, even if I do a monitor detection, but it is not turned off; it shows the content of my external screen.
So I have 2 screens on but only one recognized...
I would like to be able to use my Mac without being tied to a third screen ...
I have already reinstalled my system, so I’m asking if we can via the console, the terminal, or any other method force the detection of the screen to liquid crystal of my MBP at startup.
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Have you tried an PRAM reset?
Reminder:
Restart the Mac
Press simultaneously the 4 keys ALT-CMD-P-R (note on older keyboards, the CMD key is represented by the Apple)
Hold these 4 keys down until the 4th 'boing' (startup chime).
Release these 4 keys
Let the Mac finish starting up.

Hi
Try what Ritchi said, otherwise there might be a screen resolution problem. Try this: http://longtail.archive1.clubic.com/... -
Hello Ritchi,
I have already performed the PRAM reset, but it doesn’t change my problem.
Jebreen, I am going to test SwitchResXF.zip
Thank you in any case.
