Password not recognized on MacBook Pro

Hello,

I have been the owner of a MacBook Pro for a little over a year that I use every day.
However, this morning, my password is no longer recognized by my computer. I am quite sure I am entering it correctly, I have made several attempts but nothing works.
There is no installation CD provided and Apple is charging me 49 euros for one-time support... Before going that route, I would like to know if the problem is known and if there is a solution.

Thank you in advance for your response.

Hello,

You are using Mac OS 10.7, Lion, so you probably have an Apple ID, and if you accepted the default settings at the beginning of using this Mac, you should be able to reset the password from the Apple website (without paying, of course). See this help:

Good luck
