Good evening,
I am making a photo/video montage with Windows Movie Maker that I am fairly familiar with. My problem is the following...
I am looking to download two "trailers": the MGM Lion one and the Warner Bros. one. Note, not the recent ones, the ones that were shown at the beginning of the 80s.
I can view them on YouTube without any issues, but I can't figure out how to download them!!! Neither on: Allociné, Shareaza, ...!?
Could someone help me?
Thank you.

Hello,
Firefox Plugin: https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/web-internet/23015-video-downloadhelper/
However, be careful with copyright!
Best regards

Thank you, ziggurat!
Indeed, by installing Video DownloadHelper I was able to download my two little trailers from MGM's Lion & Warner Bros without any issues; however, ...
Now that it's saved on my computer, I can't import it into Windows Movie Maker. The following message appears: "The file C: ...Films\YouTube - INTRO LION MGM.URL cannot be imported because the necessary codec for playback is not installed on your computer. If you have already downloaded and installed the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, then re-import the file."
What is a codec?
What should I do?
Thank you. -
Your file is either in FLV or MP4, I think.
In both cases, it will not be supported by WMM, which only accepts files in AVI, ASF, WMV, and MPG containers. Therefore, you will need to convert them using software like Format Factory, SUPER, MediaCoder, or Free Video Converter, etc.
A codec is a process capable of encrypting or decrypting an analog and/or digital stream, to put it simply. This is what allows you to read a video file or perform conversions. The software I mentioned all include the necessary codecs to carry out this operation. -
