Hello, so I received a DMC-TZ7 for Christmas and today when I turned on my device the screen was blurry and it wouldn't focus anymore, so I turned it off and it got even worse, a message shows up saying "please turn it off and then on again," which I did, but now it says "system error (mp)"
It hasn't even fallen, it hasn't received any shocks and I'm starting to think that fate is against me...
When I turn off the device, the lens doesn't retract; it does that when I turn it back on before reopening. I've tried turning it on and off a good ten times, taking out the battery, the memory card, but nothing works
So please tell me you have a solution >_<

I experienced the same thing, but I have a Lumix DMC-FZ28 (Bridge). I first formatted the memory card and the internal memory, and I restored the default settings. But when I turned on my camera, the image remained blurry. In fact, you need to switch to manual focus mode, and that removes the autofocus blockage. However, I don't know if digital cameras have this option... In any case, good luck to you!

This has happened to me too: Zoom closed, a little noise and system error display. I tried the maneuver of "tapping in the palm of my hand then turning it on" several times... nothing worked. So I tried tapping while turning it on, and then the zoom came out halfway, I repeated the maneuver (tapping during startup) several times and then the device self-adjusted... and it works...
