Video doorphone EXTEL WEVP 252 BIS issue

Hello,
I have a problem with my video intercom EXTEL WEVP 252 BIS installed by following the instructions carefully (attached around the visor, etc...) just under a year ago. When it rains or the weather is humid and someone wants to ring the bell, the video will turn on but there is no ringtone!!! Or the video will turn on or off by itself all day long. I had a nearly similar problem with the previous model WEVP 251 which was exchanged under warranty. Does anyone have a miracle cure to solve my problem? Thank you
Configuration: Windows 7 Internet Explorer 8.0

Good evening and thank you for your response.

I am not sure that humidity is the cause because the defect appeared on the day of installation with very nice dry weather.

However, I notice that my installer doubled the wires, which is strongly not recommended in the documentation. According to Extel, this could be the source of the issue. I will try this weekend and keep you updated.

Moreover, Extel informed me that there is a manufacturing defect on certain models in the chime module, and I need to provide them with the serial number.
If switching to one wire does not eliminate the anomaly, I will call them on Monday to see if my product is part of a defective batch.

Hello Bernard,
I am having problems as well and my wires are doubled. Did you solve the issue by separating the wires?
Thank you for your reply.

Hello,
As this EXTEL doorbell issue often appears online, I hope these few pieces of information can help others.
My EXTEL VP680 E intercom, wired (one pair of video wires, one pair of sound wires, one pair for the gate strike)
Issue = Doorbell disappears, repaired under warranty, then fails again.
No longer under warranty, I opened it and pinpointed the doorbell circuit Ding Dong RT 0302.
Solution = Connect a resistance of approximately 500Kohms between input No. 1 and No. 4 (the ground) to reduce the input resistance of this CMOS circuit. Toot is OK.
PS = I do not have the EXTEL schematic, only the schematic of the RT 0302 available online.
WARNING DANGER = DISCONNECT THE 220V POWER SUPPLY before opening and whenever you touch the device.

Hello Picasson,
I am very interested in this solution, as like many others, my doorbell works in an unpredictable manner, and I have tried everything in vain.
Could you please clarify what inputs 1 and 4 are?
Are they the connectors of the terminal block?
Or the inputs of the RT0302 circuit?
Or something else?
Thank you in advance for your response.
