I just spoke with customer service, they are unclear (no idea). My problem is that it’s happening at my mother’s place (250 km away from me, I go there once a month) and at 89 years old she no longer knows where she put the invoice!

So, if I have to send the product back, I might as well buy a new one :-(

Oops, indeed, it is at the top right... unless you are inside the concrete pillar!

Please note that I just encountered a new problem with the device. The push button on the entrance panel was stuck. As a result, after an unwanted ringing, the batteries ran out. Mechanical issue, now solved.

It's not a relay antenna, it's just a longer antenna. I advise against buying it, since this intercom is unreliable. Despite adjusting the coil, the frequency has shifted again and my problem has returned.

It's important to know that regulations limit the power of this type of equipment, and the manufacturer complies with the law!
So with or without a long antenna, the claimed range of 500 m is misleading advertising. Even in open space, you barely get more than 100 m. And to justify themselves, Extel always talks about obstacles reducing the range, which is partly false since the HF frequency used is not very sensitive to obstacles.

To improve the range without investing, remove the original antenna and replace it with a small wire, like telephone wire, 10 to 20 m long, laid horizontally behind the fence or wall. Cheaper and safer than their miracle antenna.

I have an Extel intercom (I don't have the model number on hand, the one with the black handset). It was purchased a few months ago, but unable to find a locksmith, I had to resolve to install it myself.

I have the following problem: Someone rings the doorbell, I answer, I can talk. But I can't open the door, the intercom warns me by beeping 4 or 5 times and does not end the communication.

If I get closer to the door, to about 3/4 meters, then the opening button works, but then I might as well use the key!

The batteries are new and of good quality. I have tried several frequencies, same result. Do you have any idea??

Finally, how to add an opening button inside the property, with batteries it doesn't work, I have to accompany the visitor to the door, it's a hassle!!

I have an extel pasf 10005 that works well up to 150 meters, but for the remaining 50 meters, I can't hear anything. I was told that I could put up a relay antenna! Does anyone have a solution? Thank you.

I'm looking for solutions for a friend who has this type of problem (limited range to about fifty meters) in this case, what is the point of this intercom if you have to be 10 meters away from the gate??

I used telephone wire because I had some in stock, and given its diameter, it is discreet, flexible, and easy to work with. But one could also use insulated electrical wire just as well.
In terms of range, it is easy to gain several dozen meters, or more depending on the location.
An antenna amplifier should absolutely be avoided; one must remember that the intercom is a transceiver, the antenna amplifier only operates on reception and could risk being destroyed by the intercom's transmission.

You need to open the plate, remove the screw that holds the antenna on the printed circuit board in the top left corner. Then simply strip a few millimeters of the wire that will serve as the antenna, and tighten it onto the printed circuit board with the same screw, in the same place.

Since the hole in the plastic casing has become too large, you can seal it with silicone or adhesive tape around the wire to prevent water infiltration.
