Hello

I can no longer find my little crosses on the Firefox tabs that allowed me to close them one by one...

I am using Firefox 3.5.6

so the latest version!

Thank you for your help...

Good evening
I wonder if this is related to the colorful tab plugin.

If that's what you're talking about:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/colorfultabs/

it has nothing to do with my problem, it's a tool for coloring tabs...

yes but I have this closing option since I installed it.
That's just why I mentioned it and I also lost them when I upgraded to the next version.

Hello,

Launch Firefox in safe mode:

.Close FF (making sure it’s truly closed, i.e. process stopped, using this method: https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/17902-firefox-deja-en-cours-d-execution-mais-ne-repond-pas
.In the “Start” menu:
--> If you have the FF icon, right-click it and then select “safe mode”
--> Or “All Programs” --> Mozilla Firefox --> safe mode
--> Or in “Search” type: firefox.exe -safe-mode

.Once the new window appears, do not check anything, but click only on “Continue in Safe Mode”.

.If the problem disappears in safe mode, you will need to find out what is responsible. To do this, disable all extensions one by one, relaunching Firefox each time (in normal mode) until you find the culprit. If you have many, you can do it in batches.
You might also start by disabling the most recently installed ones.

P.S.: Did you post your message from the same PC that has the problem with your FF? Because you say you have FF 3.5.6 and in the indicated config it’s FF 3.5.5...???

I have Firefox 3.5.6, but apparently it's a new feature of the latest version of Firefox.

Can someone confirm???

Hello

So here it is, after searching a lot, I finally found the solution to my problem by myself.

There’s nothing to install, it was just a bad setting, and I don’t know how it happened!

Here’s the solution:

1/ Open a new tab in Firefox and type this in the address bar:
about:config
Press ENTER
Click on the button "I promise I’ll be careful"

2/ In the "Filter" line, type the following: browser.tabs.closeButtons (then press ENTER)

3/ Then double-click on the line that appears and change the value, set it to 1

There you go, I solved my problem that way, I had the number 3 instead of 1...
