Different margins for even and odd pages

Hello,
I want to find a simple solution to create different margins between even and odd pages of a document of about a hundred pages. If I do it manually, I can't seem to dissociate paragraphs that continue onto the next page. Is it possible to leave the headers and footers untouched, as they have already gone through quite complicated adjustments? When I try with "section breaks", I don't get anything, except the addition of unwanted pages.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.8

Hello again,

If you just want to get different margins depending on whether the page is odd or even, you simply need to choose the "Facing Pages" option in the "View multiple pages" dropdown menu in the Page Setup dialog, Margins tab (File menu, Page Setup).

When this option is chosen, you will see that your margins will no longer be called left or right, but Inside and Outside.
I believe, if I understood your question correctly, that this will solve your problem.

Marina, you're saving my life. I set the margin width too narrow in my thesis manuscript. It was going to be a hassle once printed and bound. I could already see myself spending hours adjusting the left and right margins to be wider and thus redoing the layout of my 300 pages. Your solution will solve my problem in 3 minutes because I will be able to keep the same text width :) Thank you so much.
