EasyCAP issue (EZcap) black screen :(

Hello,

I have a little problem.
I live in Canada, so my TV/my game is NTSC.
I recently bought an easyCAP, I connected my Xbox to my TV and used a three-color cable that I connected from my TV (Monitor Out) to my easyCAP, and I installed the ULead program that came with it as well as the drivers. However, in ULead (my video capture program), I checked that everything was NTSC and that the recording is set to Composite and not S-Video. When I press the "Capture" button, everything is black, I have no image! Help?
Configuration: Windows XP Chrome

    Hello,

I happened to come across your message, and I hope you have resolved your issue. One suggestion: do you connect your XBOX to your TV and then your TV to your PC (via EzCap)? >> is it indeed an output video on your TV? because generally, there are only video inputs on a TV... which would mean that nothing is being sent to your PC.

I also have a question regarding EzCap and the XBOX (which could be a solution for you): if we connect the XBOX directly to EzCap via composite cables, which is possible according to information available online, is the video without delay in relation to the actions of the controller? does it really allow you to play on your PC screen? (and not just to record a video because the latency would be too high?)

    Thanks!

    See you later!

    Hi!

I also have the Easycap which is supposed to help me capture videos from my PS3, but I have the same problem; I only see a black screen, just sound.

I don't understand why it doesn't work since I've done the right connections (thanks to a video tutorial).

The console is connected to the TV (HD Ready Philips) using an RGB cable.
An RCA cable allows me to connect the RGB cable to the Easycap (yellow connector).
The red and white connectors (for sound) of my RGB cable are connected to the Easycap.

Once in the capture software, I only get sound...

If anyone has a lead to help us! Are there any settings to be adjusted regarding the standards (PAL or SECAM, etc.)?
