F7 and F8 keys no longer work.

Hello,
So here it is, for the past few days I've noticed that my F7 and F8 keys have completely stopped working, apparently they're the only ones.
They were working perfectly a week ago though. I've decided to change keyboards, but unfortunately the problem still persists >_<
I conclude that it's likely a problem with the PC rather than the keyboard. The issue is that I haven't done anything special on my computer during that week so I have no idea where it could be coming from :/
So if anyone has had a similar problem and managed to solve it, I'd be all ears *o*

    Hello,
    for my case, there was a resident program running that I don't know the origin of. (eoengine.exe)
    I found it by using ctrl, alt, delete and stopping each resident one by one until I found the culprit.
    In Start, Run, msconfig, I prevented this program from launching at startup.
    The problem is resolved in my case.

    Hello, I had the same issue, I think it comes from the installation of a program from the eorezo site (or something like that). Noticing that my MSWord no longer worked without the authorization of a key, and not having the means/time to purchase it, I decided to download OpenOffice Word. I downloaded it from the eorezo site in question. I therefore advise you not to download any programs from this site anymore.

    could you please specify the context in which these keys are not working...
    At boot? A specific software? All software?
    Run some tests and clarify...

    I observed this problem on one PC in our IT park.
    The F_ key works at startup to select safe mode.
    It works in command prompt mode only.
    It no longer works once Windows has started.
    In my case, there was a resident program running of which I do not know the origin. (eoengine.exe)

        Hello, I think you should also check in the control panel, in add and remove programs, and uninstall "Eoengine.exe".

    Hello,

    I have the same issue with the F7 and F8 keys in AutoCAD, they no longer work. This happened overnight without any changes to the configurations or installation of other software or applications.

    However, now if I press Shift + F8, ortho mode toggles (or deactivates).

    Do you have a solution to make the F8 key work without the shift?

    Hello, I have the same issue. F7 and F8 are not working.
    A friend lent me his PC after he lent it to another friend. It's set up with Xubuntu. Since I'm not very skilled in this area, I switch to Windows on startup.
    Shift-F7 and Shift-F8 work, though.
    I have indeed tested with another keyboard but it’s the same.
    For the answers above: What does "end the process" mean to fix this problem?

      Finishing the process is an icon that you need to click in the task manager menu. It forces a resident program in memory to stop. To call the task manager, you need to press 3 keys at the same time: CTRL ALT DEL. The manager opens and tells you how much memory you are using and the number of resident processes in memory.

    Hello Colombe,

    check if you have a program named Eoengine.exe in your list, if so, delete it and restart the computer. It’s not more complicated than that and it worked for me.

    I have the same problem as all of you, except that I don't have "eoengine.exe" in my process list.

    On AutoCAD, my F keys from F1 to F12 stopped working.
    After some research, I found that the "Fmode" key to the right of F12 toggles and disables/enables the F1 to F12 keys. Everything is working again.
    I must have pressed it accidentally.

    Problem solved.

    As I explained in a previous response, my F7 and F8 keys were not working either.
    After disabling a resident memory software Eoengine.exe, everything worked normally.
    If you want to know which resident is causing the trouble, press ctrl+alt+delete and in the task manager, stop the running processes one by one, testing each time if F7 and F8 start working again.
    For your information, I also believe I remember that F11 and F12 were not working either.
