Hello,
I have a THOMSON LCD 26e92nh22 television that has a USB/PC input. How can I play videos recorded on my USB key or movies stored on my hard drive? I can't find out how it works on my remote control. If someone can inform me, thank you in advance. It's a shame to have great movies and videos and not be able to watch them.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

I read the technical sheet, it's clearly stated USB port (maintenance only). Sorry, but I got caught out like you too.

Hélas, j'ai trouvé une autre solution. Apparemment, le port USB de la télévision sert uniquement à la réparation de la télé. Donc, j'ai acheté un lecteur DVD USB pour mettre mes vidéos, films, photos... à l'aide d'une clé USB et de mon lecteur DVD USB. Allez, à ++

If the presence of a USB port is mentioned in their advertisement, it must serve a purpose other than maintenance: in a car, for example, when it says "USB connection," it is available and accessible to the user and not just to the workshop... but oh well...?!
I think this needs to be checked...

The problem is that I don't know how to find out more... as for the sellers, if they were selling fruits and vegetables, it would be the same thing!! And apparently no hotline for Europe!!

I have the same one.
I bought it after noticing the existence of the USB port. The seller told me that "normally" we could play videos in common formats on it.
I was fooled, the mention of the USB key does not appear in the manual, and the technical sheet consulted online specifies "for maintenance only." But the technical sheet is not even in the user manual, and therefore even less available to the potential buyer.

In short, Thomson is committing a kind of deception regarding the merchandise. Thomson = deception regarding the merchandise.

I also had a Thompson with a USB port present on the device, but not documented in the manual.

The seller (Carrefour Venissieux) told me that, due to its presence, we could read image and sound documents.
Wrong, it can only be used for maintenance.
This has probably been the case with TVs from various brands (I don't think only Thompson is at fault); the early USB ports were only for maintenance purposes.

That said, before buying any device, it's better to check the manual or the guide, which should be accessible for any displayed model (if it’s on display, it means it has been unpacked and the guide might have been taken out of the packaging!).
