I have a flat screen TV, but it doesn’t have a USB connection and I would like to know if there is any way to connect a system to the television that can attach a USB drive?

I mainly wanted to know if there is a connection available on the market that would allow me to connect one end to the TV receiver and the other end to a USB connection, just a simple cable.

just a cable <= uh, let's not go overboard here, a device that can "read" the USB key and translate it into a video signal for a TV maybe, but if you imagine that a cable would allow you to connect a USB key to a non-USB input of the TV, you're dreaming, the signal has to be common at least and that's not the case at all.
