Toolbar issue on Illustrator

Hello, I’m more used to Photoshop, but I just discovered Illustrator CS3.
However, I’m having a problem with the toolbar: I can’t seem to use the hidden tools. I know it’s the same principle as the Photoshop toolbar, so I don’t understand.
If anyone has an answer, thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.4

    Seriously, can't you agree across the Creative Suite to make the hidden tools appear (in the toolbar, the little black triangle):
    - In Photoshop: Right-click on the tool
    - In Illustrator: Long click
    - In InDesign: Right-click on the tool

    In fact, it's just Illustrator that's lagging behind... Come on, it's not hard to code this!

    …you click on the tool and hold down the mouse button…
    …to display the hidden tools (permanently): you can also "expand" certain tools (there's a small triangle in the corner of the tool icon), you click-and-drag to the arrow and release the mouse button to reveal a mini-palette.

      I have a problem with the little triangle that you normally click to expand the tools; it's not active anymore... HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!

    Hi

    I've been working with CS for a long time but on MAC
    the hidden tools on mac

    you click the black triangle and hold down the mouse button on the first click and you should see the tools in question
    you choose your tool and go
