GVOX Encore functionality issues

I'm using GVOX Encore32 4.5 as my sheet music editing software.
Initially (that is, a year ago), the software worked perfectly, but I noticed that my graphics card was causing conflicts within my computer, and the software started crashing my computer. The PC would crash after starting XP. I had to reinstall the drivers for my graphics card (Hercules 4000/4500 Tv out). I met other people who had the same card and the same issue (but not with GVOX Encore). Recently, I bought a G-Force 4 and I also changed my sound card (I bought a 5.1 kit, so I got a Sound Blaster Live 5.1). However, GVOX Encore still doesn't work; no matter how many times I reinstall it or download new versions, it still doesn't function. The upside is that it no longer crashes the PC; the software just stops by itself.
If you have encountered similar issues with GVOX Encore, please let me know.

Well, I know the answer to "a little" took a while ;)... but it is relevant for everyone like me who has almost tried everything in the field of sheet music publishing and who have returned to a basic and functional tool for music: so Gvox has released version 4.5 for XP and Vista and 5 for Mac OSX! That dates back to early 2008. The French version is being prepared (read and seen on both gvox.com and gvox.fr). So, let's just say this undisguised pleasure must be shared :)

I had the same problem, and I could never solve it... It would also cause the computer to crash.
When I changed computers, it worked well with XP... But now I just got Vista, and it doesn't work anymore. But it doesn't crash the computer. It's really annoying because I've tried all the other software, and this one is the best!!!

Thank you, I'll check that out; let's keep in touch. I'm hesitating to buy it because I want to be sure it works. If someone has tried it, please say so!
We have been using ENCORE for over 10 years. Everything was (almost) working well on Win98 and Win2000 Pro.
We bought a new PC in November 2007 equipped with VISTA ... and well, it has become a disaster!
ENCORE crashes the PC continuously.
For your information, we are currently using version 4.5.5 of ENCORE.
As for version 5 on Windows, it seems that it has not been released yet.
Fed up, I am writing to Gvox today to find out more about the release of version 5 ... and/or how to solve the crashing issues.

The best solution: you ditch that crap Vista and go back to XP if possible (the first version, more stable).
Under Windows Coccinelle (an improved version of XP, type "Windows Coccinelle" on Google to find it), no problem! But I'm eagerly waiting for version 5...
it's not a mirage, version 5 for windows xp and co is really available!!! incredible huh :) ... aaaah what joy, I've gotten back to my good habits. for now only the demo... we'll see about the purchase after my taxes and especially if I find my serial number for the update :) so check out www.gvox.fr because it's in French (I couldn't believe it either)
