Hello,
when I start my computer at the moment Windows XP Pro (SP2) is launching, a message appears indicating this error:
***STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF894C528, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
and then my computer restarts, making it impossible to boot. There might be a manipulation to do in the BIOS or something, I don’t know what to do, I would appreciate a quick response.
Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP Pro SP2, Google Chrome, and IE7, 256 MB of RAM, roughly 8 GB hard drive

    Good evening,

Everything will depend on what action or problem occurred for this error message to appear...

By entering your error code on this site ==> http://www.docmemo.com/windows/erreurscodes.php
    here are the suggested solutions:

You entered the code 0x0000007B Software: Windows Update Title: Error_Invalid_Name Software: STOP Error Windows Title: INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE Solution [1] Windows is unable to locate the boot partition or drive. This problem occurs after repartitioning a disk, adding a new disk, updating the disk controller, or moving Windows to another drive. \r\n[2] The issue could also be due to a virus. \r\n[3] Windows XP or Vista - This problem may occur after a motherboard change. Reinstall Windows. \r\n[4] Windows XP or Vista - If the error occurs during an automatic Windows installation where you set the Repartition option to Yes, reinstall Windows without requesting repartitioning. The error is due to an incompatible memory controller driver. \r\n[5] Windows XP - If the problem occurs after uninstalling Easy CD Creator Platinum Edition, \r\nSee also the details on the Microsoft website

Hi and thanks to those who are helping me solve this problem. If it's a virus, how can I eliminate it without being able to access the antivirus installed on Windows? I have Avast. Is there a way to start it from the BIOS? If not, where can I download a bootable antivirus that I can install on a USB stick or even a CD-ROM? Or is my hard drive failing? I've heard that you can do a low-level format; could that solve the problem?

    evening

for antivirus. I don't know. But you can always open a topic on the virus security forum and ask the question

    many things to test otherwise

first a boot in safe mode
otherwise a boot from the Windows CD

a reformat will destroy all data on the hard drive anyway!

    see you later

I cannot start in safe mode; it restarts when I initiate the boot. Otherwise, how do you boot from the Windows CD-ROM? Will I have to reinstall it?
    Thank you

    Hello,
I'm sorry for replying so late. When I try to reinstall Windows, the installation gets stuck at the disk check, and it says:
"checking: disk 0 of 7340 MB with id 0 on bus 0 on atapi..."
What should I do to be able to reinstall XP?
And thank you again to everyone participating in the discussion.

    Good evening to you both,

Sorry, the topic hadn’t come up in my discussions...
Thanks el-mariachi for taking over ;-)

One question: before we get to formatting, can’t we try to do a “repair” from the installation CD?
What do you think of this link ==> http://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/sujet 3427 reinstall windows xp ?

Otherwise, there’s this to save your data before formatting.

    Hello everyone!

How do we execute the following command:

    winnt32 /unattend

from the installation CD???? Or when I start the computer (be careful, I can't go to my desktop or to the welcome page, my computer restarts during the Windows loading)

    Hi,

I don't know much about it, but for me, you should be able to boot from your installation CD by launching it from your CD drive at startup and start the recovery console. Check out this link for the process ==> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us

Also, check this link: Disable automatic restart on system failure.

It could also mean something else (read the tip), including a potential infection problem... Is your PC usable or not? If it keeps rebooting, are you using another computer to post?

Hello everyone, and thank you very much. I resolved the issue; one of my friends had the same problem and had it fixed by a technician. In fact, it's the hard drive that is losing data; basically, the drive is toast.
Thanks again for helping me sort everything out.

    Hello,

I also have a STOP error message that is as follows: (following the connection of a 2200 Labtec webcam)

    Technical info: ***STOP: 0x000000FC (0xF7A288E8, 0x07357963, 0xF7A28848, 0x00000001)

    I tried this site:

    http://www.hotline-pc.org/stop.htm

And entering the error message 0x000000FC, it tells me:

    Code 0x000000FC

    Software: Windows STOP Error
    Title: ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY
    Solution
Update the driver of the device causing this problem.
If that’s not possible, do this:
    1. In Control Panel, open the System module
    2. Go to the Hardware tab and click on Device Manager
    3. Choose the command View - Show hidden devices
    4. Open the Non-Plug-and-Play Drivers folder
    5. Right-click on the Mgeport driver and choose Properties
    6. In the Driver tab, open the startup type list and select Disabled
    7. Confirm and restart Windows

The problem is that I can't find the driver (Mgeport)!!

    Can someone help me?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Well, if I get an answer I'll let you know... but I don't think there's anyone who can solve the problem... I’ve checked several forums and nobody knows.
Personally, I'm going to burn my computer!

    See you soon
