Hello,
I'm stuck on a problem that's driving me crazy :(
After buying a new motherboard, a new graphics card, RAM, and a new case, I happily put in my Windows Server 2003 CD and... a blue screen suddenly appears in front of me with this error:
***STOP:0x0000007B(0xF789E63C,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)
I've been struggling with this for over a week now, and it's starting to drive me mad, so if you have any suggestions or even, though it's unlikely since my searches online have yielded nothing (but I don't speak English either, so since this error isn't mentioned anywhere on French forums, there's a chance it might be in English ^^), any solutions would greatly help me.
Oh yes, my motherboard is a Gigabyte 915pl.
Thank you for your attention and any help you can provide :D

I wrote to a manufacturer about a similar issue (new laptop with VISTA pre-installed on it) and here is their response:
"Hello,
To install Windows XP you need to disable the AHCI function and delete the partitions.
Procedure to disable the AHCI function in the BIOS:
To access the BIOS, tap the "SUPR" or "DEL" key when starting your laptop.
Go to the "ADVANCED" tab and change the AHCI function to "DISABLE".
To save and restart, press "F10" then "ENTER""
Of course, every BIOS is different so you may not find it in the same place, but the principle is the same: disable the AHCI...
I hope this helps you... I am currently installing it and it seems to be working well!!!!

actually for SATA connections, the drivers generally installed under XP are in IDE mode.
However, it is entirely possible to install AHCI drivers so that XP can run.
This is particularly useful because some tests have shown a noticeable improvement in performance in AHCI mode compared to IDE mode.
But installing drivers in AHCI mode under Windows XP is not necessarily straightforward.

on ASUS K50 delivered with Windows7, go into the BIOS (F2) and
Bios -> Advanced -> (configuration)
- Operation Mode switch from "Enhanced" to "Compatible"
... from SATA to IDE for WinXp and 2000, then WinXp detects the hard drive at startup
