Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error

Hello,

for a while now I haven't been able to access the internet with Google Chrome, I uninstalled and reinstalled it but this message " Error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): Unknown error" keeps coming back every time.. has anyone ever had this kind of problem (and found a solution) and if so, can they help me?

    Hi, I also have a problem with my laptop when I try to access Google Chrome or IE7, I get an error message even though the PC is well connected because the antivirus is updating as well as the Windows 7 updates.

    For Google Chrome = error 2 (net::ERR_FAILED): unknown error

    For IE7 = Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage.

    Does anyone have a solution to this problem??

      A clarification: it is neither malware, adware, or any other virus, nor even the firewalls which are Kaspersky 2011, Malwarebytes, & Adaware; the tests have already been done :-(
