Razer Deathadder - Click Issues

Hello,

I bought a Razer DeathAdder yesterday and I'm already having some issues with it.
There are moments when everything works perfectly well.

Then, it can be 5 minutes or an hour later, both clicks start to malfunction and seem to reverse.
I noticed this for the first time during a game of Battlefield. The right click is supposed to zoom in... but nothing happened; or rather, it did, but with a delay, until it started doing it all by itself...

Back on the desktop, the problem persisted. The left click was showing the same options as a right click (new, refresh, properties, etc.).
It even happened that the mouse performed right clicks by itself. Just moving the mouse would create the selection box (holding the left click to select multiple files to copy/delete), etc.

I tried messing around with the mouse options through the provided program (default settings: polling rate 500Hz, switch 1800 dpi). I also downloaded the latest version 1.27.
None of this changed anything.

I saw on certain sites that the mouse has issues with certain configurations, so here’s mine:

XP Pro
Gigabyte GA-P31-DS3L
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E7200
Sapphire Radeon™ HD 4850 512 MB
Samsung Spinpoint T166 S-ATA - 320 GB - 16 MB
G.Skill Kit Extreme2 2 x 1 GB PC6400 PK
Samsung SH-S223F - OEM, black
Corsair VX 450W

Thank you for your help</code>

My mouse was double-clicking by itself on the middle button, and the left button was acting up when I needed to make a multiple selection. Suffice to say, it was a nightmare for intensive use.

So, I searched the internet and finally learned that this is a well-known issue. You just need to disassemble the mouse and apply cleaner/lubricant to the button areas.

The problem is that for a Razer Deathadder, the buttons are not accessible even with the mouse "naked," so it's impossible to clean.

I'm super disappointed: Razer is not made by gamers for gamers. It's normal that for hardcore gamers (even with good personal hygiene), the mouse gets filthy after a few months of intensive use. But it's impossible to clean the little critter; I find that unacceptable!

UP please same problem as you I think it's due to a manufacturing defect but I'm not sure especially since I've had this mouse for 1 year and I've lost the receipt so no exchange possible :'(

    Hello
I also have a problem with the DeathAdder. The mouse worked well for 6-7 months, and now it's acting up. Randomly, the left click produces a double click, about 2 out of 10 times. It's quite annoying for navigating, installing, or anything else... Very annoying, actually. I'm relieved that I'm not alone, I'll look for the ticket and try to exchange it.

Same problem with the mouse that has been acting up for three days.
Moreover, I have the same issue as above: "the left click produces a double click, about 2 times out of 10" and I can confirm it's not very pleasant.
Purchased in March 2010, must return it for warranty service!

Well, I have the same mouse as you, and I haven't had any issues with it for a little over a year now.

the mouse double clicks on its own, it's frustrating and makes it unusable

the Razer DeathAdder is a disappointment

my previous mouse, a Saitek at 10 euros, lasted 4 years

I don’t know if I can get a refund because I bought the keyboard, all with a 30% discount, which totals 100€ (the keyboard and mouse package, of course)
So I would like to know if the exchange is still possible
    Thank you
