Razer Mako Speakers (cutout)

Solved

Hello,

I have a problem with my Razer Mako speakers, which, since I got them, sometimes cut off at the end of a song or in the middle of a movie, well, when there is sound coming out actually, followed by unpleasant sound bursts that are quite irritating to the ears, and after a few minutes of mayhem, the sound returns.

Anyway, I'm calling on you and your expertise, please! ;)

Information:
-Windows 7
-Integrated sound card on the motherboard (P5Q Pro)
-Speakers: Razer Mako 2.1

If another kit doesn't cause you any problems, then there is very likely an issue with a loose connection in the Mako kit cables!

Because the manuals don't tell you everything...
But they don't tell you nothing either, right!

"So it's indeed a contact issue, but how can I fix this?"

Customer Service... and if out of warranty, locate the faulty contact and repair accordingly. (this may involve disassembling and replacing the stereo Jack cable!)

The problem is probably not with the speakers, but with the sound card...

Have you tested the kit on another audio source?

I also asked myself the question, I will test it on my iPod. (note: with my old Logitech 5.1 speakers, I don't have this issue). Thank you. :)

Yes indeed, I tested my speakers on another PC, and I have the same issue. So it is indeed a contact problem, but how can I fix this?

To respond to I don't remember which comment, it doesn't come from the sound card, but from the kit.
If we plug a headset into the remote control, it works; as soon as we unplug it, the sound should go back to the speakers, but nothing!
A problem between the sub and the speakers, or between the remote control and the sub!

A simple yet effective solution: buy touch gloves (€5) and a clamp-type vice grip. Place the touch part of the glove on the volume you want and tighten it a bit with the clamp; the speakers will think you're adjusting the volume, so they won't enter standby mode and will no longer turn off. There you go!
