Laser Issue - Razer Naga

Solved

Hello,

I bought a Razer Naga two months ago and I used it without any issues until today. While browsing the web, my pointer stopped moving, but all the buttons worked correctly along with the lights. The laser seems to have stopped functioning for no reason. I uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled them, updated the firmware, and restarted the computer. No success. I really hope I don’t have to send it to Razer. Thank you.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Opera 9.80

Try holding the left, right, and middle buttons for 5 seconds; that should solve the problem.

Hello, it's been almost 10 months since I got the Naga, and until today, 0 issues
But now, all of a sudden, for no apparent reason, I can't move my mouse left and right, but I can move it up and down
Wtf
Please respond quickly :)

Try to make your mouse work on a blank sheet of paper, it may seem strange but give it a try, it should normally fix your problem.

You deserve a kiss <3 it works XD wait I'm paying for a Razer mouse pad 25€ which is useless and a white sheet for 0.1 cents to fix my mouse XD where is the world going anyway thanks.
Well it works for a while but it's not a viable solution.

I installed the mouse the next day it got stuck, but the buttons and lights work.

As mentioned earlier, I pressed simultaneously on the left, right, and middle buttons for several seconds and it magically unlocked... Don't ask me why.

Hello,
No matter how much I put a blank sheet, I have the same problem :/

The leaf trick worked for me one afternoon, but now the problem has returned. I can't move left and right, although everything is fine up and down, as well as the buttons... I have a Razer Naga 2014 and Windows 10. I've tried it on two PCs. If someone can help me!

hello same issue as some, the cursor only moves up and down instead of left and right, but that's good, so I figured everything was working correctly. Thus, it must be an external issue, either dust or something else in the little hole ^^ a quick knife cleaning inside, then I scratched a bit of the plastic so the lens can read the movements properly and boom, it's working again.

I just had the exact same problem with my Razer DeathAdder Chroma, everything worked perfectly for a month, and now it's the same, all the buttons work, but the laser and the cursor won’t move anymore. Did you find a solution to the problem?

Problem reported in 2011 and still present in 2017, it just happened to me, it's not the first time but each time it worked again, I'm going to send a message to Razer again hoping they can do something, otherwise warranty and I won't buy Razer products anymore.

Idem smiled at me for 1 day....

The blank sheet makes it work but not practical for playing...
Have you had a response from Razer?

Hello, I have the same problem as you and I think the issue might be with the mouse. In fact, I've had the problem on W7 and XP.

When I start the PC, the mouse takes a while to move (it can take anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes), just like you, the buttons are usable as well as the scroll wheel.

Moreover, I've had issues with accuracy, or mouse freezing as if there were invisible walls on the desktop.

I haven't tried reinstalling, but apparently, that doesn't solve anything...

A few days ago, I could hardly find any topics online, but more and more are appearing on forums. It would be nice if Razer addressed the issue.

Personally, I'm going to send them an email; you never know.

Hello everyone, I see I'm in the same boat as you, my mouse lasted two days (lol). Yesterday I was playing with it, everything was working fine, and now I turn on my PC, the mouse lights up, but there's no response from the pointer, very frustrating... If it's a defect in the mouse, then Razer has fooled us by selling a product for around €80... In any case, I'm really disappointed because I thought that spending this much money would get me a good quality mouse that would last a long time... 2 days lol. I’ll check with the site where I bought my Razer to see if they can take it back. If I have any news, I'll let you know.

Best regards, Tropade

Good evening, the same for me. The firmware update when I received it was at 1.0, now it's at 1.13. It doesn't work, the laser drops out after 15 seconds of use, actually the sensitivity decreases until it stops working :-/

Good evening, I haven't heard anything about this issue so I exchanged my mouse for another one, and this one works perfectly (for now^^). That's it =)
Best regards, Tropade

I'm coming back to this subject. I have the same problem with a Razer Naga.
My mouse freezes on Windows startup and functions in jerks afterwards. I use it with a Razer Exactmat. But I've just discovered something strange. If I place my mouse on a simple white sheet of paper right from the startup of the PC, I have no problem... The mouse works perfectly...
Have you all also noticed this for those who have this issue?

Hello, I've been experiencing exactly the same problem for about a month. I sent my mouse back to materiel.net, who told me everything was fine, so they sent it back to me. I plug it in, play for 6 hours, and then bam, the laser stops working again, but the clicks and buttons are fine. I'm lost ;(

Good evening

a tip for the Naga laser: try a laminated sheet of paper (I tried it with a hotel brochure ^^)
And it works!!
So a laminated sheet of about 220g/m2 and there you go, a nice surface that doesn't glitch.

For my part, I have a slightly different but equally annoying issue: everything seems to be working pretty well but when I move the mouse, the cursor doesn’t stop for half a second or even more at times (sometimes it doesn’t stop at all). I've restarted the computer, checked the drivers, updated Synapse, but nothing works.
Any solution to consider?
