Hello,
Here is my problem. I bought a 500GB Peekbox multimedia hard drive.
Everything was working fine, I was watching movies, listening to music... basically everything was going well.
But yesterday, I wanted to add some movies: so I connected my Peekbox to my computer. And during the data transfer, I accidentally unplugged the cable connecting the Peekbox to the computer.
Since then, my computer no longer recognizes the hard drive, and when I connect the Peekbox to the TV, it doesn't recognize it either.
What should I do to get the hard drive working again?? Thank you for your help.

It's a bit late for a response, but if it could help someone, why not, because I had the same problem with the same equipment.
So the multimedia hard drive is no longer recognized, in this case, you need to dismantle it and connect it directly to the PC (without the case). After backing up all the data to another hard drive, you need to format it from "Computer/My Computer" + "Manage" + "Disk Management," then delete it completely and perform a system restart to reset it. Once the reset is complete, you move on to the next step and mount it in its case to format it this time from its case on the television. There you go, now all that's left is to restore the data set aside on our multimedia case.

Hello everyone,
So I just read on the forum that many people were having issues with the Peekbox 3 hard drives...
I didn't find my problem, so I have a Peekbox 3 with a 500GB hard drive, and my problem is that my computer doesn't recognize it; the box shows that “USB connected”...
I had this issue about a month ago, and I sent the hard drive back to Peekton, and when it came back, it worked just fine!! But now nothing!!
So I don't know if I'm making a mistake...
Help me!!!

Same problem with my peekbox...
To disassemble it, you first need to be discharged of any electrostatic charge (touch metal without rubbing it). Then unscrew the hard drive from the case using the screw located behind the Peek3. Put the tab under the Peek in the Unlock position and slide the panel to the side (that's the hardest part). Once open, remove the side screw, the connection plugs, and take out the disk from the top... and that's it!!!!!

From your description, and from what I see, I think it's the USB of the case that's malfunctioning. But first, try using the driver CD for your case, maybe that's what it is too, and if not, I suggest checking if your case is up to date or not. If it isn’t, go directly to the manufacturer’s website
( https://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=peekton&e=com )
and download the new version of the firmware for your P3. Maybe that will solve your problem. But be careful during the update, follow the rules in the manual, which you can also download on that same page from the link above, and everything should go smoothly because otherwise you risk messing everything up and losing your warranty!
Try that as a last resort, and if you see that it doesn’t solve anything, well, it’s better to go for customer service; it’s worth paying for a return than to lose everything!
P.S.: mine is a peekbox 200 which I also ended up sending to customer service last week, they received it yesterday and I'm waiting for them to send me another one because mine was worse; it works on the PC but not on the TV, because I had no detection of my hard drive!!
Good luck!
