Hello, when I type a simplified approximate address like Google instead of www.google.fr in my URL under Firefox, Firefox directly redirects me to the page www.google.fr which I find very good... but for a week now I've been redirected to the Yahoo search engine which I can't stand... on one hand I don't have a Yahoo search bar and I've never subscribed to Yahoo. So why am I constantly redirected to Yahoo! I think this issue may seem trivial but it involves enormous economic stakes...
So two questions:
How can I make Firefox redirect my approximate URLs to the Google search engine?
Isn't Yahoo trying to compete with Google through obscure techniques?

Hello,
I have the same problem, I deleted some extensions, set Google as my homepage, and as soon as I launch Google Chrome, it takes me to Yahoo. Whenever I manage to get to Google by insisting, I do a search and it sends me back to Yahoo. And again, by persistently trying, I manage to stay on a Google search page, but after a while, it either redirects me to Yahoo or if I go to a page, it sends me back to Yahoo again.
I FOUND IT!!! YAHOO!!!
WITH CCLEANER =>
go to "tools" then "uninstall a program" and remove something like "yahoo toolbar" or something like that.
And once again, let's use Yahoo to express our joy lol.
Have a nice day!
