Hello,

I am desperately trying to uninstall Yahoo permanently but nothing works, it's as if they do it on purpose!! Plus, I'm a novice!!

A big thank you to anyone who can give me the solution!

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 11.0

    The proposed procedure is to delete the keys in the registry.
    • Go to start
    • All programs
    • Accessories
    • Right-click on --> run
    • Select: run as administrator and confirm
    • Type: regedit and OK.
    • At the top, click on edit
    • Find (Ctrl+F)
    • Type: yahoo
    • Check the boxes for keys, values, data and click next.

    The search begins; when a file appears, delete everything related to yahoo , then press F3 to continue the search and do the same until the end of the search.

    Close the registry, then run CCleaner as administrator for a cleanup of windows, applications, and registry.
    For using CCleaner, check this --> tutorial

      Good evening Kaneagle, with some extra help (a neighbor to be precise) and your advice it’s working again, but it wasn't simple... because on top of that there was a super virus!!! Should we see a connection? In any case, THANK YOU for your help, I’m keeping your nickname. If you agree??
      Have a good evening from a very young retiree (well, very young... very young...)
