Hello, I'm using Vista and for some time now I have to constantly reset the network card. Does anyone know why and how to fix this issue?
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello, it's been a month that I have the same problem. I solved it by going into my router's settings. In the settings, it indicates that the fixed IP address is NO, and I changed it to YES. Since then, no more problems.

You need to go to the IP address marked on the back of your router, and then you'll be able to have fun in your router's settings ^^

Hello,

I also have the same problem: for a few weeks now I've been disconnected from the Internet and I'm going into "local only" mode.

The only way to fix it is to reset my network adapter (which Windows suggests when I click on "Diagnose")! It's very strange. Sometimes I even have to unplug/replug the livebox. The most amazing thing is that once the connection is made, and the network adapter is reset, it works every time. But it is happening more and more frequently, which is quite annoying.

Computer: Dell XPS M1330
ISP: Orange (livebox)
Network adapter: Broadcom Netlink (TM) Fast Ethernet

No update problems, I've checked the latest versions of the adapter.

If anyone has an idea, or if anyone is experiencing the same issue, please feel free to reach out, a little help would be appreciated :)

See you soon.

Finally, my problem has mysteriously disappeared... I wonder if the ISP was to blame (bad compatibility of the Livebox during updates?)

Thank you for your responses.

Hello everyone, I have the same problem, it's been about 2 months since my computer has been asking me to reset the network card, and it has also been 2 months since my computer has been slow. Before, there were no connection problems except very rarely, and I could play Assassin's Creed perfectly, but now there are major connection issues and the game is lagging badly.

I wanted to know if you have also experienced a decrease in the performance of your computer (slower computer).

This makes me think there might be a spy virus that could be occupying the connection and the RAM of the computer; however, I have done a lot of antivirus tests and nothing has been reported, I have also cleared up a lot of software, etc.

But the problem still persists.
