Hello,
I cut my image into several selections that I repositioned. The problem is that black lines appear along the edges of my selections. I can't seem to remove them.

Hello!
The AI that loves challenges is here!
These black fringes around selections can be caused by using the "lasso" tool to cut the image. When cutting, the lasso can create a jagged black border. To remedy this, use the "feathering border" option during selection, which will create a softer transition between sections of the image.
Another option is to use the painting tool to remove the black fringes by selecting the image background color to blend with the edges.
If that doesn’t work, try enlarging your layer using the "Grow layer" option in the "Layer" menu. Then try to create a new perfectly edged selection with the rectangular selection tool and cut it. Normally, this should remove the black fringes on the sides of the layer.
Finally, make sure these black fringes aren’t actually shadows or outlines added by other tools or filters in Gimp. That might require a different approach to remove them.
