Hello,
When I download large files or when I use a software that is resource-intensive, I frequently experience disconnects on my computer.
I should note that I have no disconnection issues when I’m not downloading or when I’m not gaming.
Here is the error message "NDIS 10400" in the Event Viewer when I have the problem:
"The reset of the network interface 'Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Controller' has started. Hardware reset time, network connectivity will be temporarily interrupted. Reason: The network driver detected that its hardware has stopped responding to commands. This network interface has been reset 1 time since its last initialization."
I have 3 network cards on my computer:
-
Realtek Gaming 2.5GbE Family Controller, driver date: 08/15/2023, version 10.68.815.2023
-
ASUS 2.5G PCI-E Network Adapter, driver date: 08/15/2023, version 10.68.815.2023 (I manually disabled the card)
-
RZ608 Wi-Fi 6E 80MHz, driver date: 02/16/2023, version 3.3.0.771 (I manually disabled the card)
My Windows 10 system is up to date.
All my drivers are also up to date (updates downloaded directly from the manufacturers' websites).
My configuration:
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro (X64) 22H2
Processor: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X clocked at 4.89 GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. B550 AORUS ELITE AX V2
Memory: 64 GB total DDR4 RAM at 3.2 GHz (1.6x2 GHz)
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti
Hard Drive: KINGSTON SKC3000S 2Go
Troubleshooting I’ve tried to fix the issue:
-
Disabled all network cards except one
-
Disabled power-saving mode on the network card and sleep mode
-
Static IPv4 configuration
-
Rebooted the router (Livebox)
-
Set performance mode
-
Reinstalled OS twice (I moved to Windows 11 with all driver and Windows updates, as well as the above-mentioned manipulations)
-
Fresh OS, just 1 game and a few CPU stress-testing software
Do you have a solution please?
Thank you

Hello.
According to your explanations, the card in error is the Realtek. On the net, error NDIS 10400 is always associated with a Realtek card.
In fact, no, my mistake.
If you disable this card and keep only the motherboard chipset, does it work?

Solution found:
installation of the latest BIOS updateI had a version dating from June 2023 and I thought it was the latest version.
So by installing an October 2023 version, everything returned to normal.
