Hello,
I have an HP Photosmart C5180 printer, and the following message appears: "ink system error. printing impossible. see printer documentation. error 0xc19a0035. turn off and then turn on the device."
I have turned the device off and on, I have removed and reinserted the ink cartridges. Nothing works. Have you had this issue? How to resolve it, help...
Thank you in advance.

Thank you all: the hard reset of the printer works. Unplug the printer which is still powered on. Hold down the two buttons and plug it back in...
I had to take out and put back all the cartridges (making sure they were all properly inserted) and it's back to working like a charm :) !!!!
Thanks again.

I advise you to reset your printer
your problem may be due to the placement of an incompatible or defective ink cartridge
method:
Reset operation:
Caution: this operation will clear the memory of your machine (pending jobs, configuration, etc...)
- Unplug the printer from its power source (only the cable since the rest is from the wifi network)
- Press the “OK” Arrow and “HELP” buttons on your machine simultaneously and keep them pressed.
- Now plug the power cable back in while continuing to hold the buttons from the previous step.
- The screen will then display "Shutdown in progress", and then the message "full reset" will appear. You can then release the buttons
- You can turn your machine back on; it will ask you to specify the language and country, in reality, it is performing its reset. (If it doesn’t do this, restart the operation from the beginning).
- Keep me informed

My HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-one printer has crashed, probably due to a cartridge replacement (defective cartridge chip) and it records the error
It indicates:
Ink system error
Err: 0xc18a0001
Turn off then turn back on but nothing worked!!!!
The solution was to perform a general reset on the advice of HP support:
Unplug the power cable from the printer without turning it off.
-Press the "POWER" or "ON" button for twenty seconds.
-Plug the cable back in while holding the button down.
-Release the button 5 seconds later.
-Turn your machine back on.
**If the problem persists
Remove the cartridges
Note that this operation will clear your machine's memory (pending jobs, etc...)
- Unplug the printer from its power supply
- Press simultaneously the "OK" and "HELP" arrow buttons on your machine and keep both buttons pressed.
- Now plug in the power cable while continuing to hold down the buttons from the previous step.
- The screen will then display "Shutting down", then the message "full reset" will appear. You can then release the buttons
- You can turn your machine back on, it will ask you to specify the language and country. (If it doesn't, repeat the operation from the beginning).

Good evening, I eventually contacted HP who came to pick up my printer at home (it was still under warranty) and gave me another one. They told me on the phone that it was a scanner issue... Best regards.
Thank you Christian, I had the same issue as you today and I was able to solve my problem by following your approach. For my part, I had to press OK and Help. The printer then turned off, and I released both buttons. I pressed the power button while pressing OK and Help again. A message containing the word reset then appeared, asking me for the language and country. I then reinstalled the cartridges and everything started working properly again.
Thanks again ^^
Thanks again ^^
Hello,
Before reloading the cartridges on my C6180,
I cleaned, with a cotton swab and a little isopropyl alcohol, the contact of the electronic chip on each cartridge.
This avoids having to perform the "reset" procedure before each print.
However, it does not eliminate the need to also check the capacitors on the electronic board, as the two issues are different.

Hello,
on my side, the "reset" solution doesn't work for just one print... every time the print is finished, I end up with the error message...
I redo the reset process but it uses up a lot of ink each time...
Am I the only one having this recurring problem??

To perform a hard reset on your HP D7300, follow these steps:
- Unplug the power cord from the printer.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Release the power button.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Press the power button to turn on the printer.
This should reset the printer. If you continue to experience issues, consult the user manual or HP support for further assistance.
In fact, it "only" takes accessing the board located to the right of the printer and looking at the heads of the capacitors.
If you see one with a deformed/swollen head, it means it is defective.
Mine was in position C613.
You just need to flip the board over (without disconnecting any wires), desolder the defective capacitor, and solder in the new one.
It only costs a few euros, takes just about half an hour, and it works!!
