problem with Windows 10 and PHOTOSMART C5180 all in one

Question

Hello everyone!  I had a printer problem and thought my USB cable was to blame, but that's not the case. I replaced it twice. The printer is not recognized by the computer which has since restored itself while keeping my files. Still nothing: neither the program disks nor the online download work. The power is definitely on. It's true that the printer is not new, and that I use it a lot, but I also take good care of it and I've never had the slightest issue. I don't understand the problem and I'm getting lost in the tutorials. If anyone has any ideas, thanks in advance. ELIEdu06

Hi Billmaxime! Thanks for your quick reply. But it's not working: the download goes well until the setup, but then the little disk that shows up on the screen keeps spinning and the next part of the program (i.e., the page with "end") doesn't appear. I'm downloading in vain if you know what I mean. I have checked my system version thoroughly. If you have any idea, I'm all ears! Thanks. ELIEdu06

It's a disaster: now the USB mass device is acting up. It's code 10. I've tried different ports but the printer isn't recognized. I'm losing it!!!!!!!!!!! ELIEdu06

Good evening, Thank you for your reply: the computer is an HP PAVILION and it has decided not to cooperate. On top of that, my internet connection is unstable........ Hi  I can't access safe mode ........ It's not working.  Does your PC not want to start in safe mode with network support?  What if I reset it?  You can, but you need to back up your documents on an external hard drive before proceeding with the operation. I no longer have control over any command: I would really like to try your suggestions. And the icing on the cake: I sometimes get a flash on the left side when the computer is working... The administrator account is unresponsive... The computer is three years old... And I haven't had any issues until now. But the system is unable to provide me with a diagnosis of the device. E
