Hello everyone!

I had a printer problem and thought my USB cable was to blame, but that's not the case. I replaced it twice. The printer is not recognized by the computer which has since restored itself while keeping my files. Still nothing: neither the program disks nor the online download work. The power is definitely on.
It's true that the printer is not new, and that I use it a lot, but I also take good care of it and I've never had the slightest issue.
I don't understand the problem and I'm getting lost in the tutorials.
If anyone has any ideas, thanks in advance. ELIEdu06

    Hi

Did you download the drivers for W10 from the HP website?

    https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/drivers/selfservice/HP-Photosmart-C5100-All-in-One-Printer-series/1153538/model/1153539

PS: select your OS (W10 in 32 or 64 bits)

    https://www.commentcamarche.net/informatique/windows/169-32-bits-ou-64-bits-comment-savoir/

PS: the installation is done with the USB cable unplugged, you'll plug it in when prompted during the installation
