WORD header in the foreground Solved

Question

Hello,

In Word, I need to insert an image that covers the entire page. My problem is that the header text on this page disappears because it is covered by the image I insert!

I have selected "image in the background" and "text on top," but nothing works; my header remains hidden by the image!

Does anyone know the solution to make my header appear above the image?

Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.14

I had the same problem, and I just found the solution.

You just need to insert the background image in the header and place the image behind the text.

The only issue is that the image takes the parameters of the header, and therefore acts as a watermark.

Hello, Where do you insert your image? Directly in your document or in the header of the document? Because even if you use a background, your image must be inserted in the header... -- Livia2b

My image is not in the header, but in the main page. If I put it in the header, it will repeat on all pages!

Hello,  to try... Once your image is inserted:  1) right-click on it 2) Format picture; 3) Layout; 4) Behind text.  It works on Word 2003.  There you go... See you later  D D From 06

But no, that's exactly it, it doesn't work when the text is in the header and the image is in the body of the page; the image stays in front of the text!  That's exactly my problem.

hey!

just put the image in the header as a background!
But the headers are unlinked like this:
1. go to the end of the previous page
2. do Insert => Break... => Next Page
3. a page break is done, hit "Delete" to
bring the text back
4. go to the header (View => Header and Footer)
5. Check the section change
6. press the 5th button from the right that looks like two pages with a dotted line connecting the two sheets.
7. Be careful before modifying, also check the next page to ensure the header is not identical to the previous one, otherwise the modification will apply to the rest of the document (redo step 6)

it works for me! What’s in the header is in front of the image, but you'll need to modify each header...

If it's still relevant, I'd like to share a solution that I applied.

For my part, my page numbers are in the footer, and the images that cover almost the entire page are pay slips, so they have a white background; I'm not sure how it works with more "colored" images.

I first selected the image, then in the Image Tools option > Format > in Color > Set Transparent Color. With the new cursor, I clicked on the area where the page number should be, and it appeared.
