Hello,

as stated in the title, I am looking to change the background color of my header (currently green), and not just the text color or the highlight color. I haven't found any information regarding this. Can you help me?
Thank you.

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 5.0

    Hello,

    Under Word 2007,
with the header activated, click on the Home tab and go to the Paragraph area, click on the paint bucket and choose a color.
If you want to increase the colored area, add paragraph breaks using the Enter key. Also play around with the margins.

    See you later

Thank you, grandpa35530, indeed it was quite simple, but it hadn’t occurred to me to do it that way. Thanks again.
      Have a great day,

Is it the same for Word 2016?

The given answer was still a bit of a patch-up job. It's true that it's been a while!! ;)

You can either enter the header in a table cell to be colored green, or insert a green rectangle in the background.
