Kodak ZD710 problem

Hello,

My partner gave me a Kodak ZD710.

I used the camera for 2 days with the original batteries; they didn’t last any longer.

So I bought rechargeable NiMH batteries as indicated in the manual, but not Kodak brand, Energizer and the … impossible to take photos, it turns on and off at the first photo attempt.

So I went to Fna* and bought other batteries identical but of a different brand as the seller advised, and same thing it doesn’t work!!!

I then went back to Fna*, the seller told me that my device has a problem that it drains the batteries by itself!!!! and that normally I can use any battery.

So I went to the store where we bought the Kodak, the seller told me that the device has no issue but that for Kodak batteries you must use Kodak batteries only!!!!

So I’m going to buy them; it bothers me to buy them online, I don’t trust it too much!!! but I’m still wondering: you who have Kodak ZD710, do you use Kodak batteries or batteries from different brands???

Here are the explanations, thanks for your help because I am really disappointed with my device!!!

Hi,
I have a z710 and I’m using rechargeable SONY 2500 mAh Ni-MH batteries.
And for at least 3 years!!
The seller ripped you off!
There you go.

Hello, thanks for the reply I’m just wondering which seller is talking nonsense? The one who says it’s my device that drains the batteries or the one who sold us the Kadak and says that for Kodak you need Kodak Anyway, I’ll go to the shop’s after-sales service and I’ll ask for an exchange!! Thanks, I’ll tell you what happens!!!

hi,
i’m just wondering which seller is spinning me a yarn?
the one who says that it’s my device that drains the batteries

Is it possible that it won’t hold a charge anymore, but for the batteries you can put whatever you want! ++

Re so I went to Bu* and the seller took lots of photos with batteries unbranded but with a power of 2500 amper I think so I bought 2500 amp batteries so there you go I will try apparently I didn't have sufficiently powerful batteries!!!

Hi there, and well, it works with batteries—not Kodak but powerful. The ones I bought weren’t powerful enough and no seller had done a proper job advising me!!! It took a while, so I bought the 2500s and it’s going great!!!! so happy!!! Thank you very much

The Z710 also uses rechargeable Li‑Ion batteries of the CRV3 type. They are very interesting because they last longer (a voltage of 3 volts instead of 2.4 volts for 2 Ni-MH rechargeable batteries and a capacity of 1800 to 3500 mAh)
They can be ordered via Ebay at attractive prices; on other sites, it is better to compare prices...
