Transfer video from Samsung VP-D361 to PC

Hello,
I have a problem. I bought a Samsung VP-D361 camcorder in January 2007. It has video transfer via an IEEE Firewire cable. This port was present on my old PC, and everything was working fine.
But in September 2007, I bought a new Compaq Presario C500 laptop... but it doesn't have this IEEE port... which I hadn't thought about.

So I can't connect my camcorder to my laptop, since there is no USB port on the camcorder either...

Since then, I've been looking for a USB to Firewire cable, but apparently it doesn't exist... because of the data transfer it seems.

Anyway, I would like to know if you have a solution to my problem, as I imagine I am not the only one facing this issue.

Try to finalize the mini DVD; "option in the menu" and that way you'll manage to do it.
