Hello, can you help me?
I have a Panasonic NV-GS24 camcorder and a Sony Vaio VGN-TX2XP PC running XP.
I would like to transfer my videos recorded on mini DV to my PC, but the camcorder is not recognized by my computer. When I go to Movie Maker and try to capture the video, an error message appears saying that no device is connected.
I have a FireWire IEEE 1394 cable, and I've already had it replaced to see if it was defective, but I still have the same problem.
What should I do???
Thank you

1/ Do you see a different message on your camcorder's screen when it is connected to the PC?
2/ Try using a demonstration software to see if you can control your camcorder.
3/ Is your firewire cable different on both ends or is it thin on one side and thicker on the other? -

Did you normally get an installation CD when you bought your camcorder?
