Unable to save images

Hello,
I can't save images on various sites with the right click
I right-click and then save image but it doesn't save anywhere
what should I do to solve this problem, thank you in advance
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.12

hello.

normally when you do "save as", you have the choice of destination (desktop..my documents..etc.)..so the download does not happen?

Hello everyone,
well, I tried what you told me and it worked with Internet Explorer but it still doesn't work on Mozilla
can someone tell me how to uninstall and then reinstall Mozilla Firefox, thanks

Well, I ended up uninstalling Mozilla in the add-remove programs, then I re-downloaded Mozilla which changed nothing
after that I used CCleaner which resolved the problem so everything is working again
