The values in Photoshop that give me very good results:
Filter > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask then:- 1. For model photos: Amount 150%, Radius 1, Threshold 10.
- 2. For urban or travel photos: Amount 65%, Radius 3, Threshold 2.
- 3. For everyday photos: Amount 85%, Radius 1, Threshold 4.
or
Only in Photoshop and not in Photoshop Elements:- 1. Images > Mode > Lab Color
- 2. In the Channels panel, click on the L channel (Lightness)
- 3. Apply the Unsharp Mask filter using the values mentioned above.
- 4. Try applying it a second time without changing the settings. If it's too sharp, go to Edit > Fade Unsharp Mask (for example, if Opacity is at 50% = you reduce the values of the second application by half).
That’s it, for me it’s a recipe that works well.
