Blurry image: how to make it sharper? Solved

Hello,
I have a blurry image that I took with a bit of a crappy camera. I would like to sharpen it a bit, knowing that I have various photo software such as Photoshop, Photofiltre...

The values in Photoshop that give me very good results:

Filter > Sharpen > Unsharp Mask then:

1. For model photos: Amount 150%, Radius 1, Threshold 10.
2. For urban or travel photos: Amount 65%, Radius 3, Threshold 2.
3. For everyday photos: Amount 85%, Radius 1, Threshold 4.

Only in Photoshop and not in Photoshop Elements:

1. Images > Mode > Lab Color
2. In the Channels panel, click on the L channel (Lightness)
3. Apply the Unsharp Mask filter using the values mentioned above.
4. Try applying it a second time without changing the settings. If it's too sharp, go to Edit > Fade Unsharp Mask (for example, if Opacity is at 50% = you reduce the values of the second application by half).

That’s it, for me it’s a recipe that works well.

There aren't really any miracles. The "Enhance Edges," "Enhance Contrast," or "Refocus" filter from Gimp provides certain results, but still.

Hello,
In Photoshop: Filter>Sharpen>Unsharp Mask (1 or 2 times). You have to be careful about the appearance of "noise" in the solid areas.
Second option (still in Photoshop): Filter>Sharpen>Smart Sharpen (you increase the amount, and also the threshold [this helps reduce noise].
But as Sebsauvage said; these filters do not perform miracles....

This type of sharpening method tends to introduce noise.
There is another non-destructive method for images using a high-pass filter.
Here is a link to a tutorial that explains the technique step by step and with images, to eliminate the blur from photos using Photoshop:

It really works very well and especially does not introduce noise like the sharpening method.
Even for images that are a bit soft, it enhances the image sharpness.
