Problem inserting an image in a text

I had exactly the same problem with my CV and I have a solution for Open Office version 3.3.
You need to right-click on the photo, then click on "Text wrapping" and finally on "Page wrap", and there you go.

I don't know OpenOffice personally, but I had the same issue when I was writing my CV on Word.
My solution: there's a tool that allows you to draw a frame or you create a one-cell table the size of your photo, and then with a right-click on the photo I did "copy", after that I deleted the photo (which was already in the document, by pressing the delete key) and by right-clicking and "paste" into my frame, I was able to import my photo without shifting the text I had in the top left.
There you go, I hope this helps, most word processing software works pretty much the same way.

I don't know Open Office but in Word, you need to click at the bottom left on "Draw" then choose "Text wrapping" and select the option that suits you... maybe Open Office has the same function...
