DVD player: "temporary ban"

Hello
I have just restarted a Neom Digital NM375DVD DVD player that I had not used for years
The settings hadn't changed; however, after inserting the DVD and starting playback, a message says "temporary prohibition," even though I had placed a DVD that I had recorded myself and that I had often watched and listened to
Could you tell me the cause of this problem and how to solve it?
Best regards

Hello,
Please try cleaning the DVD to see, I’m conducting a search and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

I checked all the settings including the password in parental control, which is correct, and I even reset the settings to defaults; I cleaned the DVD; it's a DVD I have used many times on this player without any problem; I keep getting "temporary ban" and "disc not ready"; I turned it off and on several times after each operation; I tried with another nearly new DVD: same thing; I just looked in the index configuration after entering the password and found a dropdown menu for parental control: 1) Kids Safe, 2) G, 3) PG, 4) PG-13, 5) PG-R, 6) R, 7) NC-17, 8) Adults; it was on "Adults", but I don't know what these abbreviations mean.

yes I tried it on an external drive to my computer and it works fine

In this case, it could be that the reader has an issue or that the format is no longer recognized (strange if it used to work in the past and if the disk in question shows no defects…) strange that it no longer accepts it, while at the same time the computer is generally capable of reading a larger number of existing formats.
The ideal would be to test this DVD on another home theater player.
