TomTom blocked red cross

Hello,
after downloading maps, I unplugged my TomTom without taking precautions to safely remove the device. Since then, when I turn it on, the screen freezes with a blinking red cross
what should I do?
I normally backed everything up on my computer.
this is an emergency as I have to travel and need my TomTom to get around...

Here’s what we recommend you do to solve the frozen screen issue on your TomTom:

1. Backup your TomTom using the TomTom Home application:

2. Click on the "Remove items" menu under TomTom Home; then delete the application by checking the box to the right of the line and then clicking on "Remove items"

3. Completely close the TomTom Home application including from your Windows toolbar if you have the software icon. Right-click with your mouse and select "Exit".

4. Reset your device using a paperclip in the reset hole as follows:

5. Your TomTom will shut down, directly reconnect your TomTom to your computer using the USB cable.

6. Turn on your TomTom once it is connected to your computer by pressing the Power button for 5 seconds

7. If the TomTom Home application opens, you can close the application

8. Select the "Start" menu on Windows and then "Computer". Your TomTom is listed under removable drives

9. Double-click on the icon of your TomTom to display the contents

10. Delete all files that are not contained in yellow folders

11. Open the TomTom Home application again and click on "Add Maps, Traffic, Voices, etc." and then "Items on my computer"

12. Then click the plus sign in front of the "Applications" line and click the "Add" button.

Note: Before disconnecting your TomTom from your computer, under TomTom Home, select "Device" and then "Disconnect device".

Hello, I have the same issue with the red cross, except that I can't connect it via USB port and the disk is invisible.

If anyone has any idea, I'm open to suggestions as I'm out of ideas.
