Hello,
I have an Epson AcuLaser C1100 printer, which hasn't worked for some time because the drum was dead, so I replaced that part yesterday. The printer printed two pages but since then it has been encountering a paper jam issue, and I can't see any stuck paper anywhere. It also makes a strange noise. I noticed that the rubber toothed roller at the bottom of the paper tray makes one turn to pull the paper but gets stuck when trying to return to its central starting point, causing that grinding noise. The first sheet goes through and prints very well, but since the roller gets stuck one-third of the way, the printer makes a scratching noise and goes into paper jam mode, and the next sheet won't feed unless I manually assist that little roller in completing the remaining third of the way by gently turning it down by hand (the noise stops when I help the roller) but it returns to the same situation during the first feed of the next sheet.
Have I overlooked something in the process of changing my drum? I should add that the prints are very good, with no marks, but I am limited to one sheet before the roller gets stuck and the printer goes into jam mode BM E.
Thank you for your help

Regarding the jam in the Epson C1100 printer
1 disassemble the e covers
2 disassemble the cover above, there are 4 screws
Be careful, there are 2 connectors, do not remove them. At this point, the paper tray will appear. On it, you will find
2 hooks that are semi-circular; their role is to lift the sheet. Behind them, you will find a transparent sponge-like plastic; this is the cause of the problem.
The answer
This plastic is located between the e tray and the 2 covers, not behind the 2 covers. -
Regarding the BM E jam on Epson C1100
1. Remove the cover E
2. Remove the cover located on top; there are 4 screws, remove the 2 connectors
3. Paper tray, look to the right; you will find a gear next to it, there is a small blue coil with a metal rod.
Turn the gear so that the metal rod returns to its place
Note: when you finish, don't forget to put the plastic tab of the paper tray back in place (between the 1st and 2nd covers) -
I have a similar problem due to a misalignment of the "paper pickup" axis (which supports the rubber roller for paper pickup).
Either there is no sheet feeding, or it "grinds."
We can fairly easily access the adjustment of this axis from the back panel.
I haven't found the adjustment yet.
Have you, over time, resolved your problem??? How??? Thanks in advance. -
Hello,
I used to have an Epson Aculaser C1100 printer that I had to part ways with (it broke down and the repairs cost more than the printer itself), so now I’m stuck with all the supplies I bought. I would like to get rid of them by selling them (of course, I won’t sell them at the price I paid). So if anyone is interested, please feel free to contact me.
PS: The supplies are new (never opened) and from the brand Epson.-

I'm lowering
2 black High capacity (approx. 4000 copies) = 50€/piece
2 cyan Standard capacity (approx. 1500 copies) = 50€/piece
1 magenta High capacity (approx. 4000 copies) = 65€/piece
1 magenta Standard capacity (approx. 1500 copies) = 50€/piece
1 yellow High capacity (approx. 4000 copies) = 65€/piece

Hello
I have the same issue with a CX11. Have you been able to find a solution?
Thank you in advance -
After taking everything apart and putting it back together on my C1100N, I had the same problem. The only solution I found that works is to keep the BM tray (the one where you load the sheets) permanently open. As a result, I no longer have any BM E jams.

I have:
2 black High capacity (approx. 4000 copies) = €65/piece
2 cyan Standard capacity (approx. 1500 copies) = €60/piece
1 magenta High capacity (approx. 4000 copies) = €90/piece
1 magenta Standard capacity (approx. 1500 copies) = €60/piece
1 yellow High capacity (approx. 4000 copies) = €90/piece
If you're still interested, don't hesitate.
