Hello,
Hello,
I made the mistake of setting 720p in my setup and now I have no picture and can't revert to the initial setting. How can I return to the default settings? Can someone give me the exact buttons to press after hitting SETUP? I need the exact path to restore normal display as I'm navigating on a black screen or how to reset to factory settings.

Hello, I had the same problem and you need to press STOP and MENU on the device simultaneously, not on the remote control.

See you soon.

Hello,

I would like to know how to uninstall an update that I installed because since I updated the Tvix M3000U, my hard drive isn't working very well; it gives me error messages, and it no longer recognizes the movies or music, which is quite annoying.

I tried resetting to factory settings, but nothing works. Does anyone have a solution for my problem??

Hello,
I hope you found the solution to your problem since February...

In any case, to undo an update you need to, on your PC,
delete the 2 bin files from the tvixfw folder
and replace them with those from the previous version (flash.bin and tvixfw.bin)
then restart the loading of the version (boot the TVIX connected to the TV with MENU and ON pressed at the same time for 4-5 seconds, then follow the instructions... (OK!)
I had to defragment the HDD before... otherwise... reloading problem!

To reset, you need to press STOP and MENU at the same time... according to the Dvico website...

GOOD EVENING
I also have the same problem as you because I've tried to switch to 1080i image mode since I got a full HD LCD.
If I find a solution to the problem, I'll keep you informed.
On my Tvix M3000U, I am on version 1.09
Best regards, ERIC

Hello
I found this on the official website:

How to reset the settings to factory default.

M2000, M3000, M3100 and M5000

If you want to reset the device, just push the STOP button (on the device, not on the remote) and SETUP button (on the device, not on the remote) at the same time.

This will reset the settings to your factory default.

In case you cannot see any screen, you need to change TV out by pressing the TV out button on the remote several times until you can see the picture.
link: http://www.tvix.co.kr/eng/faq/FAQM5000Ufirst.aspx?act=RD&id=141&pg=0&CATID=3&SCATID=2

I hope this will help you.

Hi, thanks for the operation,

But actually, on the M-3100 U there is no "setup" button on the front panel.

So the correct procedure to reset the setup is to press "MENU" and "STOP" simultaneously, and it works,

For your information, there is a firmware version 2.0.3 (the most advanced) available at the following address:

"ftp.dvico.com/Products/TViX/Firmware/M-3100/2.0.3/tvixfw2.0.3-eu.zip"

Hello,

I have a TViX M3000U 160GB and a brand new 500GB Western Digital hard drive.
The problem is, I can't get it to work with the 500GB drive; I've tried plenty of solutions, except for disk cloning...
The three little LEDs in front are lit up.
Furthermore, WD drives are compatible with the TViX as well as Samsung drives.

If someone has the exact solution, thank you in advance.

IN THE TVIX 3000 MANUAL, IT SAYS TO USE A MAXIMUM 400GB DISK
I DID IT AND IT WORKS

Should it be emptied of the files it contains before performing the STOP + MENU maneuver? Or not?

No, we don't lose our data; it just resets the setup to factory settings.

Hello,

I bought a Tvix M3000U and I formatted it to NTFS but I want to format it to FAT32 so I can connect it to my Freebox HD to record movies directly on the TViX but I can't do it, it only offers me NTFS.

How can I do this?

Thank you.

Hi,

Once you have formatted your hard drive to NTFS, you can only reformat a partition with a maximum size of 30GB to FAT32. I had the same problem as you for exactly the same reason. And in the end, I gave up because I couldn't save on the FAT32 partition. So, I burn from my standalone burner onto DVDs.

You can format it with Partition Magic under Windows XP. I had a similar issue with my hard drive and it worked, 200 GB in FAT32.

Hello,
I have a more basic problem... how to update the codecs to no longer get the "unsupported mpeg file" or unreadable message one time out of two?...

I'm on firmware 1.9.0 and upgrading to the 2.0.3 available doesn't work at all, and for what it can do, it also doesn't play the "unreadable" files...

Thank you for your help.

Hello ..
I have a TViX M-3000U and I have the same problem as Dawell (burnt out, replaced, 3 LEDs lit)
if someone has the solution it would be nice to publish it because I’m completely stuck I tested putting another 15 GB HDD and it works perfectly, anyway I don’t understand why with this new HDD it doesn’t work (Western Digital 160 GB)
thanks for clarifying =)

Hello,

Same issue... a hard drive that burnt out... I bought a WD 500GB hard drive... and at first, it wasn't recognized by my PC at all.
I formatted it to NTFS... took at least 10 hours!... and finally, it was recognized by my PC.
Then I moved on to the firmware upgrade step as indicated by the Tvix site (except I used my WD hard drive when the site recommended using a different one); anyway... it still went through...

The image then appeared on my TV... but the problem is that after a minute of viewing... the image freezes... and this happens with all videos.

It's worth noting that the jumper is set to select cable on my hard drive... the other two modes, Master and Slave, do not allow the hard drive to be recognized by my PC and it doesn’t work on my TV either...

That's where I am... I'm going to try with another friend's disk to see if it's not the firmware version 2.03 that's causing these issues...

See you.

Hello,

STEP 1
I’m back to give you an update; I’ve gone through all possible solutions with my WD 500GB hard drive!!!!
- formatted FAT32, then installed versions 1.9 to 2.0.2 => black screen with version 2.0.3 => TVIX homepage (blue background screen).

I switched back to NTFS (quick format) with version 2.0.3 => menu display OK

The problem is when I start a video it freezes after 1 to 2 minutes, then it resumes only to freeze again a little later for a long, long, long time.... each freeze causes the disk to work hard, orange LED blinking!!!

I hit stop and go back to the menu, but with an international display => Chinese, characters.... in short, the folders are unreadable but if we choose something at random.... there’s a message telling you that the format is wrong!

I turn it off and on again... the menus are back... I start a video and then... I’m back at STEP 1...

In short, this TVIX is crap!

Hello,
The TVIX works perfectly on the TV, but when I plug it into the computer, it crashes the computer. Therefore, it's impossible to open it and work on its hard drive. I tried in Safe Mode, I tried booting the computer with the TVIX already powered on and connected to the computer, but nothing works; it crashes the computer.
Please let me know the steps to properly connect it to the computer without causing it to crash.
Thank you.

Hello, I just installed the firmware 2.03.eu on my TViX 3000, and it can no longer read my files once installed on the TV. Looking more closely, there are 3 bin files (flash, fwupg, and tvixfw) compared to 2 previously (flash and tvixfw). My question is, could the lack of playback be due to the fwupg file? If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Have a great day, everyone.

Hello,

I just wanted to know what this firmware is for?

Does it allow reading other video formats?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

Best regards.

Hello Fatjimo, I advise you to install firmware 2.02 because 2.03.eu crashes the TViX 3000.

I tested it this morning and it works very well.

Thank you

Thank you received,
but after the operation:

press the "MENU" button located on the top of the player, then while holding it down, turn on the TViX by pressing the power button on the front panel.
The TViX will start up, but keep the "MENU" button pressed until the green LED stops blinking. At that point, you can release the "MENU" button.

My screen remains black, I have nothing after, but after a reboot everything is back to original.

Good evening,
thank you for the maneuver, but all I see is a blue screen.

I lost program 1.9 while trying to change the screen format or resolution. I haven't reloaded anything but I can't reset it.

I was connected via the yellow cable and plugged into the TV on the front in AV2.

I turn off the TVIX, hold down the "menu" and "stop" buttons on the box simultaneously, I turn it back on and only release my fingers when the green light is solid. I turn it off and on again, the green light blinks then becomes solid, but I'm still not getting anything on my TV screen, even when switching to AV1 or pressing the "tv out" button repeatedly on the TVIX remote or the "set up."

Thank you for enlightening me on what I may have forgotten or done wrong or for suggesting another solution.

You just need to press the "TV Out" button on your remote control at the bottom right, and you'll be able to change the definition and get your screen back.

I have no issues with a 500GB Seagate in FAT32 (formatted with Gparted).
NTFS performs very poorly on the 3000u despite the firmware, I strongly advise against it!
I also recommend avoiding the USB connection when your hard drive starts to reach around 150GB of usage; I prefer to put the hard drive directly into my PC where the transfer rates are incomparable^^
