Problem solved for me.

FREEBOX HD decoder, SAMSUNG 32" LCD screen

Actually, you need to turn on the TV first and switch to the HDMI channel where the HD box is connected, but without powering on the latter. Then, once on the HDMI channel, turn on your freebox.

In summary:

1. Turn on the TV, freebox on standby
2. Select the external HDMI channel on your TV.
3. Then turn on the freebox.

And there you go, it worked for me.

I bought a Samsung TV LE40A656 and for two days, I scoured all the forums to understand why I had no signal with my Freebox via HDMI. I followed the proper power-up sequence for the devices, checked the Freebox settings, and... nothing...
As a last resort, I opted to change the cable I bought with the TV from Pixmania, choosing a cable from Boulanger (compatible 1080) and there... it WORKS!!!!!!
So if you encounter problems with your Freebox and your TV, make sure to check your HDMI cable.

Hi, my little experience, Freebox HD + Samsung UE40B6000 Screen. After all connections were made, I turn on the TV and the Freebox and there is a very good image for 3 minutes exactly, then nothing, the signal disappears and the Freebox crashes (I have to reboot to recover it). I spent an entire day searching forums without a solution. Until the moment I had the idea to go to Boulanger to buy an additional HDMI cable for my PS3. I notice that the cheapest 1080p compatible one costs around €40 compared to €10 for the Carrefour cable I was using at home... So I buy it and connect it instead of the old one. And there, the image comes and doesn’t go away... It's just incredible. The €10 Carrefour cable I bought earlier was supposed to be compatible with 1080p and below. So, it seems that only the price really matters... I think the HDMI signal being very sensitive must be super shielded to work with my Freebox which may have a poor impedance matching... I don't know.

In addition, I am not sure if the Freebox needs to first operate with a SCART connection before switching to HDMI, but what I think I have understood is that after obtaining the HD signal via the HDMI connection, if the SCART connection is kept in parallel, it seems that the automatic switching signal from the SCART sometimes causes the television to switch from the HDMI input to the SCART input before returning to HDMI, occasionally resulting in the subsequent loss of the HDMI signal.
In conclusion, I advise against maintaining the dual connection of HDMI/SCART, and to keep only the HDMI link, even if it means having to manually reconnect in case of problems.

When you turn on your Freebox HD, go to channel 1 (the others may not broadcast in HD). Then, press the blue [INFO] button on your Freebox HD remote. You will see a menu appear on the right side of the screen with options [FAVORITES, LANGUAGES, VIDEO, SUMMARY, REBROADCASTING, THE GUIDE]. Choose VIDEO and there you will have (if the channel offers it) the choice of HD, AUTO, STANDARD, or LOW BANDWIDTH.

Hello and thank you for your advice, I followed the TV power-up order, first HDMI then Free, and it works great!!!
However, I have the problem described by several people regarding the image format being wrong for certain CanalSat channels, and it's impossible to adjust it!! Has anyone found a way to solve this???
And finally, I only have one HDMI port on the Free and the scop, which means I can't connect them both to the TV at the same time, so I can't record!!! lame!!!
Thanks to D@ny, I found HDMI HUBs with 2 or 3 HDMI ports that allow connecting 2 or 3 sources to the TV, but there are switches, and I feel like they only allow switching sources, not connecting them together!! Has anyone found a solution or can help me???

Hello, I had posted a message about an HDMI cable but since the problem has been resolved with the SCART cables, I prefer to leave it at that. I found something else and I want to share it with others. I have a Samsung LCD TV, an SFR box, an SFR HD decoder, and a Toshiba VCR. I connected a SCART cable from the SFR decoder to the Toshiba VCR at the AV2 socket, then from the VCR’s AV1 socket to the TV’s AV1. With this setup, you can record with the VCR on one channel but you cannot watch another. For it to work (to record a movie and watch another), you need to keep an antenna (rabbit ears) with the cable connected from the wall socket to the VCR at the ANTENNA IN socket, then another antenna cable from the VCR’s ANTENNA OUT to the TV’s antenna socket. That's it for the HDMI socket; I'll see when someone finds the problem. See you soon, everyone.
