My printer only prints part of the document. Solved

Hello,

I have a small printer issue (Epson 3850) that one day started printing a copy on only half of the page in width, it's as if it ignored what was on the left side of the original. It doesn't work like it usually does, meaning that the half copy now takes a good two minutes to make, whereas normally it should only take a few seconds; it's not that it's slow, but rather the carriage works at normal speed, it seems as if it's printing millimeter by millimeter, hence the two minutes to make half a copy. This happened suddenly, without any apparent reason.

I have the same problem with an Epson 9700 printer.
Yesterday everything was fine and this morning the printer only prints on one side, the other side stays blank. I had a paper jam last night and this morning when I put everything back in place, I got a maintenance code 4000, and since then I haven't been able to print.

Thank you for your help as I'm stuck now.

Check the printer's margins and print options, or reinstall it, or try restoring your PC to the date when the issue appeared.  Regards

Thank you to everyone who read and tried to help me, but I found the solution.
But for those who have the same problem, here’s the trick:
below the ON button, there is the ink alarm button, and further below there is another button that configures A4 format or photo format; just make sure the green LED is on for A4 format.

Hello,  I have the same problem with my Epson DX4850 printer even though the format is configured correctly. The issue only occurs in copy mode. Is there a way to reset the printer???  Best regards,

Hi Alexou, if I understood correctly, you have the same issue I had and I'm going to tell you my solution.
I think that on your printer you have buttons like "ON" and below the ink there should be "A4", "10x15" and not too far away an area with a black strip that takes up a quarter of the page height, and if you press this little button you will have your solution.

Hello, like Alexou, my DX 4850 printer has a photocopying issue despite being properly set up in A4, the copies come out with a部分 that is not taken into account. Please let me know how to solve this problem.

Thank you very much for your advice, it worked for me!!! You’re saving my life; I have a lot of things to print for my exams in several copies!!! (I was afraid I would have to go to a store to photocopy it, it would have cost me too much)! I changed the format below the button and it’s all good, it’s working again.

I had the same problem with the Epson RX 425, I found the solution by simply pressing the (fit to page) button which had been removed.
