Hello, Thunderbird frequently displays the following message: Authentication failed while connecting to the imap.gmail.com server.

Yet the passwords saved in the various accounts are correct.

    Good evening,

    Verify that the option "Allow less secure apps" is enabled in your Google account or use an app password if two-factor authentication is enabled.

    Also check Thunderbird's IMAP settings (port 993, SSL/TLS).
