WORD - Retrieve a file Solved

Question

Hello!!  I need help please!!! (as soon as possible)  In WORD, I wrote my document (about 15 pages) that I saved in My Docs. Then, I closed it to be able to email it and print it (since I don't have a printer at my desk). Now, when I tried to open the file, it tells me  "Invalid file name or document path. Please try the following operations:  * check your entry * in the File menu, click Open. Use the dialog box that appears to locate the file."  I need my document as quickly as possible!!!! Otherwise, I have to redo everything and even if for some 15 pages is not long, for me it is because I don't have all my ideas in mind...  Thank you to those who respond to me.

Hi,

you are good to enter Word.

Once in Word, go to "File", then "Open" and select your file.

Before clicking on "Open", drop down the menu next to the "Open" command
to finally choose the line "Open and Repair".

If the document could be repaired, a small report will appear with the details of the elements that had errors.

And that's it.

No, it has nothing to do with it!   I know where the file is, it is indeed in .doc format but I can't open it!!!!!!!!!!!!    Still need help, please!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In addition, to prevent this from happening again, it is good to enable the Word auto-save feature, with a timing of 5 minutes for example.

This allows you, in case of a problem, to recover the last valid update of the document.

Tools / Options / Save .... just a few boxes to check.

Hello,  THANK YOU FAB32 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The problem was resolved, so I did "Open" - Selected the document to open, and before clicking on Open, I clicked the small arrow, then "Open and Repair" ...  It provided me with the error list (the lines) I just have to fix 2 or 3 things, thank you so much!!
